WBSTC provides regular bus services between Kolkata and Bakkhali. The first bus leaves from Esplanade at 7 in the morning and reaches Bakkhali by 11 pm and the second one leaves at 8 am anddrops tourists at 12.30 pm. The best part of the journey to Bakkhali is crossing the Hatanai-Doania river when the vehicles are taken into a ferry. Otherwise, one may take a Diamond Harbour or Namkhana-bound train from Sealdah South section to reach Namkhana, cross the river on launch and then take a bus to Bakkhali.

Bakkhali has witnessed rapid development within a very short span of time and that is evident from the availability of accommodation facility here.
